The Animal Care Network (ACN) has been active in southeastern Michigan for over 12 years. The program consists of volunteers that team up to venture into neighborhoods in search of animals in need. ACN has become a well-known source of assistance and advice for thousands of citizens in the area and is considered a place for many pet workers to come to for help.

Every weekend and many evenings, the teams load up with supplies, including doghouses, straw, food and water to take to the neighborhoods.  ACN will act on complaints but the real objective is to rescue, assist, spay or neuter and educate.

“This is the first time we’ve partnered with Aim High Proceeds and we are so excited to try out a whole new event!  The more folks who come out to play, the more the animals will benefit,” said Marie Skladd, President of the Michigan Animal Adoption Network.

The Animal Care Network is a dedicated group of volunteers spending time in low-income areas in suburban Wayne and Oakland counties providing relief to pets by providing food, water, collars, leashes and more.  It is a division of the Michigan Animal Adoption Network, a 501(c)3 non profit organization.  ACN also offers several low cost shot clinics yearly.  The next shot clinic is April 18 in Pontiac.
